And this follow-up book, "Siege: Trump Under Fire", will be released on June 4th.

The publisher Henry Wolt, of Wolff, announced the title and the date of publication Wednesday morning. The books are usually promoted months in advance, but the publisher kept this project in camera and chose to announce it just three weeks before its release for maximum impact.

Axios was the first to report publication plans on Wednesday. The expectations for "Siege" are going to be dizzying, of course, given the bomb statements in Wolff's first book on Trump.
"Fire and Fury" has prompted one of the president's personal attorneys to send letters of termination and disclaimer to both the publisher and the author. The book described the White House as chaotic and incapable Trump. This triggered weeks of discussions about the president's ability to sit in power, as well as controversies over Wolff's anonymous sourcing.

The criticism of the author will certainly be skeptical about his methods this time too.

Wolff worked with the same editor, John Sterling, who published "Fire and Fury".

Axios said Wolff followed up with most of the key sources in the first book.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, Henry Holt described the sequel as "a book just as essential as it is explosive about a presidency under fire".

According to the publisher, the book begins "just when Trump's second year as president begins and ends with the publication of the Mueller report," documenting "an administration still beset by investigations and a president of more in addition to volatile and exposed. "
