The candid memoirs, published in November, have quickly become a bestseller and are one of the most popular books of the decade.
"We think it could be the most successful memory of history," said Thomas Rabe, managing director of Bertelsmann, a parent company of Penguin Random House, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Obama sold theaters during her international book tour where she was interviewed on stage by Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and former senior Obama advisor, Valerie Jarrett, among others.

The first week, "Becoming" has sold more than 1.4 million copies, announced Penguin Random House in November.

The book has had the longest series at No. 1 for a book since "Fifty Shades of Gray" was released in 2012, according to Amazon.
