When Shea Patterson fumbles in the first play, you know that the night will be long for Michigan fans.
For months, all they have heard of is Josh Gattis' new offense and his dynamism. And there were lightning – 3 TD passes in the first half of Patterson – but also mistakes, loose passes and a curious two-quarter look that everyone scratched their heads.
A 40-21 win against the Middle Tennessee State was more aimed at experimenting than running, and that was not enough for those who expected Jim's team to work. Harbaugh finally gets a Big Ten title.

And, really, what do you think about having Patterson and Dylan McCaffrey on the ground at the same time?
There were several rooms where it was presented, almost none of them succeeded.
Jim Harbaugh wanted to have several quarters of the game, but that's not the way to do it. This should be the easiest thing to clean from this week to the next.
