University football will begin this Saturday and, although the Michigan football team is not playing until Saturday, August 31, the first official poll of the Top 25 AP has been released.

These rankings could change next week as Florida take on Miami FL, but other than that, there should be no other changes. Here are the official rankings.

Clemson
Alabama
Georgia
Oklahoma
state of Ohio
LSU
Michigan
Florida
our Lady
Texas
Oregon
Texas A & M
Washington
Utah
Penn State
Auburn
UCF
Michigan State
Wisconsin
Iowa
State of Iowa
Syracuse
State of Washington
Nebraska
Stanford

Michigan will start the season in seventh place and it looks like it's a good place to start this season. With three of the four teams in last year's college football event, as well as Georgia, Ohio State and LSU, there is no doubt as to whether they should be higher or not.

Michigan will have a tough job since it already has six ranked opponents to its schedule: Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin, the State of Michigan, and the United States. 39; Ohio.

The rankings will change and could become an easier schedule for the Wolverines as fewer teams could appear on the list. It is shocking to see half of the Wolverines' opponents starting this year as a ranked team, showing that the road is long and difficult for the playoffs in college football and the Big Ten championship.
