Jim Harbaugh has just completed his sixth season as Michigan head coach.
A former Alabama support staff member is about to join Jim Harbaugh’s staff in Michigan.
George Helow, who worked for the Crimson Tide in 2012, is hired as the Wolverines’ safety coach, a source confirmed to AL.com.
The news was first reported by ESPN.
Helow, who was also a support staff member in Georgia, spent last season as an inside linebacker coach and special teams coordinator in Maryland. He was previously a Colorado State safety coach.
