Michigan Republicans thank 'Uncle Ted' Nugent for testifying after stating that their state "was not America's" – Raw Story

Republican lawmakers in Michigan have invited conservative rocker Ted Nugent to testify, even though he said the state "can not be called America."

During a testimony Tuesday at the Michigan State House, Mr. Nugent pleaded for a bill to reverse the ban on baits for deer and mice. elk. The ban was put in place in 2018 because of the suspicion that Chronic Debilitating Disease (CWD) was spreading through stacks of bait.

For its part, Nugent argued that the ban was ineffective because deer are "trading spit."

"They think they can stop deer from trading the spit, they are idiots," Nugent said, according to the newspaper. The Detroit News.

At the end of his testimony, Republican state official Jason Sheppard reportedly thanked "Uncle Ted" for his appearance.

In July, Nugent told conservative host Laura Ingraham that Michigan "is no longer qualified as America."

"I was born in Detroit. You know, Laura, Michigan was the arsenal of democracy, "Nugent said. "But unfortunately, it has become politically a suburb of San Francisco and it breaks my heart."
