Michigan ruling Rudy Giuliani called ‘big win’ was actually about local marijuana measure

The Michigan decision presented by Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani as a “big win” on Twitter Friday night was actually about a vote on a local marijuana measure and had nothing to do with the president’s claims he had been deprived of a voice. A County Antrim judge ordered the ballots to be examined and kept from 22 tabulation machines, but the ruling came in connection with a local marijuana proposal that was narrowly won by a single vote , the Detroit Free Press reports. A voter complained that the ballots had been damaged during a recount.

Giuliani made the decision and ran with it, tweeting, “BIG WIN FOR HONEST ELECTIONS.” He added, “This is where the untrustworthy Dominion machine shifted 6,000 votes from Trump to Biden,” referring to a Trumpworld conspiracy theory about the company that provides supplies and voting machines. While Biden won the state of Michigan, Trump actually won County Antrim by nearly 4,000 votes, adding to the mystery why Giuliani would want the final numbers to change.
