On the same day as the annual spring match, Michigan State Football announced a new look for the 2019 season.
The Spartans have revealed alternative uniforms for this season Saturday and they are very different. The traditional green is accompanied by a lime green pants, lime green "STATE" letters on the jersey and Spartan logo on the helmet. The color is similar to the lime green basketball uniforms from Michigan State, launched in 2016.
The state of Michigan has changed its uniforms in the past, including wearing all-white clothing that came back in 2017 after the last wearing of the white helmet in 1954. The Spartans also wore chrome helmets in 2012 and 2013 and 2011 green, black and bronze uniforms against Michigan.
Michigan State signed in 2014 a modified ten-year contract with Nike for the apparel sector, which is expected to bring in $ 33 million to the university.
