Microsoft Adds New Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2 Configurations for Business Users

Microsoft adds two new Intel Core i5 models with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop ranges. These new models are part of Microsoft's Surface for Business program, which means that they are reserved for commercial and educational customers.

The new Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 16GB / Core i5 models will be available in the United States and Canada this month, according to the Microsoft blog posted on March 11th. Microsoft "will evaluate the possibilities of expanding this configuration more widely in the future," says the blog.

Microsoft is targeting these new configurations on "commercial customers wanting to equip employees with consumer productivity," says the message. Microsoft has not revealed the prices of new models coming soon.

Microsoft also allows its business partners to sell, as of May 1, 2019, "selected" Surface Pro 6 for Business and Surface Laptop 2 for Business configurations in 11 additional European markets. Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia. Supported models will include an international English keyboard (the Surface Pro Type shell is sold separately) and include local languages ​​in the operating system image.
