Users familiar with and enjoying the existing tablet mode – a backup of the Windows 8 era – will still be able to use it, but that could change in the future. This could also have something to do with the Microsoft event of October 2, focused on Surface. The software giant is expected to launch Core OS, a Windows 10 operating system designed for touch devices and portable systems.
It is possible that Windows 10, in its current version, is reserved for professionals and experienced users, hence the interface more like an office of the latest version of Insider. Meanwhile, Core OS would have a more visual and touch-oriented interface like the existing tablet mode.
