‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ update makes US more detailed

Handcrafted versions of four airports were added – Atlanta, Dallas / Fort Worth, Friday Harbor and New York Stewart – while Asobo made “visual and logical improvements to 48 additional airports.” The studio claims the game has new aerial textures to improve the appearance of multiple states and an “improved digital elevation model”. Other changes include more random placement of lampposts in side streets and bug fixes.

The update follows a similar patch focusing on Japan that arrived a few months ago. If you’ve decided to stay home instead of flying out to see your family on Thanksgiving amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, you might be able to make the trip virtually by Flight simulator instead. If the latest 4K trailer is anything to go by (and your PC can handle those visuals), it should be a nice trip.
