Microsoft Releases Minor Patch for Windows 10, May 2019, for Insiders

Microsoft should begin deploying the next major Windows 10 update, the May 2019 update, later this month. It has been testing the update with insiders in the Release Preview ring for two weeks and has already released two quality updates.

And just before the upcoming release of the update, Microsoft pushed the third quality update for the May 2019 update intended for insiders in the Preliminary Edition and Slow Rings. This publication is quite strange, because Microsoft usually does not display any updates during a weekend, but we are there.

The update, KB4505057, replaces the May 2019 update with the build of 18362.116 and provides only 2 fixes:

  • Fixes a problem that could prevent access to some gov.uk websites that do not support HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) security when using Internet Explorer. 11 or Microsoft Edge.
  • Fixes a problem in which the installation may fail with the error "0x800f081f – CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING".

There does not seem to be a known problem for building, so if you want to get your hands on the next major version of Windows 10 before everyone else, you probably will not have to worry if you have to. install. on your main machine. Microsoft will probably launch the public launch of the update by the end of the month, so keep your eyes peeled. The update will take place in different phases. Do not expect it to hit your device the first day.
