Microsoft Insider Renamed Paul Thurrott revealed in a tweet that the Xbox company will be hosting a “What’s New for Games” event on March 23.
Microsoft is apparently having a “What’s New for Games” event on March 23.

Thurrott didn’t really give any information on the type of announcements that might be featured in this event. However, this dovetails with Jeff Grubb’s rumors that Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda could be exposed (unless this lawsuit holds it back) with a major event occurring in the second half of March.
Beyond the Bethesda news, here’s a recap of what Microsoft has in the works in its Xbox Game Studios and could make an appearance at this upcoming event.

| Playground Games | Rumored to be working on Forza Horizon 5, which could launch later this year. Also busy with the Fable reboot announced in July 2020. |
| Rare | Beyond current Sea of Thieves support, Rare is developing Everwild, although seven months ago they were apparently still “ brainstorming game ideas. ” |
| Turn 10 Studios | Develop a new Forza Motorsport game that goes back to the roots of the franchise. |
