The future of the Xbox console certainly seems to be diskless. The German WinFuture website has obtained images and details of the console that could be officially revealed in the coming days.
The name has already been spotted on the packaging, so we can be pretty sure that it is the definitive name. As its nickname indicates, the Xbox One All Digital S avoids discs in favor of game downloads. The package itself proclaims the "diskless game". The box also contains some details about the hardware specifications of the Xbox One S All Digital.
Being a console that relies on downloads rather than disks for games, so it's no surprise that the Xbox One S All Digital does not have a Blu-ray player. As players get used to it more and more, the titles will be available for download in the gaming stores. To begin, the console is pre-loaded with Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft and Sea of Thieves.
In terms of hardware, the packaging shared by WinFuture shows that there is a 1 TB hard drive. It remains to be seen if this will be enough for hardcore players who want to download many headlines on their consoles. With support for 4K Ultra HD videos, this storage space could also be consumed by movies.
From what we know at the moment, it seems that the Xbox One All Digital S will only be available in white, that it will come with a single controller and that it could to be unveiled by Microsoft on April 16th. The console should be launched in Europe on May 7th at a price of € 229.99 (about $ 260).
