Microsoft has updated its family of Surface devices this week with the introduction of the Microsoft Surface Hub 2S. It's so big that it needs wheels, you really do not want to ask yourself how much an external battery costs, but it does highlight the efforts that the Microsoft hardware team is making to business customers.

In terms of specifications, the Surface Hub 2S has a lot of success. The 50-inch screen has a resolution of 2840×2560 pixels, it is thinner and lighter (respectively sixty and forty percent), and its interior is powered by Intel's eighth-generation Core i5, with 8GB RAM, 128GB of storage and UHD 620 graphics chipset. … And the price starts at $ 9,000.
I think it's safe to assume that many of the features added to the Surface Hub in this iteration will come from user feedback. It should be noted that the biggest change in the 2S Hub is its portability. Through a partnership with Steelcase a moving bridge lets you move the touchscreen around the desktop, and for even more options, you can add a battery from APC so that everything keeps running while you go to the office.
You should not think that the goal here is to sell ridiculous amounts of Hub 2S – although I doubt that Microsoft is refusing sales. In my opinion, the goal is to use this as a central hub in a business and to make sure that Microsoft's local and cloud software is the fabric of digital connectivity.
The Hub is not specifically an autonomous machine (or even a single wheel). Although it works under Windows 10, it's a customized version of Windows 10 Enterprise called Windows 10 Team. While it can run classic Windows 10 applications (including Microsoft's broad range of cloud-based applications, including Office, Teams, and One Note), the Hub family is built around three axes: collaboration, flat meeting format and a digital whiteboard; that will integrate with other Windows 10 devices.
Microsoft would like your business buyer to integrate other Surface products into the mix. If your office has only one Surface Hub, it is likely that a cascade effect will provide Surface Studios' designers with a mix of Surface Book, Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, and Surface Go machines in the rest of the organization .
But unlike the access ramp that the Surface to go offers the workshop or the Surface laptop Surface Hub 2S offers a downward path in the world of Microsoft. All disparate Windows 10 devices may have had connections via Microsoft Teams collaborative document sharing, but it's the hub that can bring them together in a corporate environment.
