Microsoft has updated the company's community standards for Xbox earlier this week. Although this is not usually news, its content is so healthy that it is worth a closer look.
You can read it all here, and I sincerely recommend it: the company did more than just list the rules and provided you with a ton of examples not only of what you should not do on Xbox Live, as well as what you could do if you want to be a cool and fun person.
Stuff like that!
Harassment and hatred take many forms, but none of them have homes on Xbox. In order for Xbox Live to be a place where everyone can see each other and to keep people from feeling uncomfortable or uncomfortable, we all have to be stewards. It means more than just not harassing other players – it means kissing them. This means that you will keep these jokes unsavory for the people who will benefit. It means paying close attention to others as you play, keeping in mind how they might interpret your content.
It is really a good thing to be proactively listed in your community guidelines. It's great to see Microsoft break things down so cool and affordable.
To help make things even clearer, there is also a long list of examples of 'trashy speech', and I love them even more, in the 'educational / educational video' style of the '90s. Here is some information that Microsoft recommends should not be online:
-
Get. I can not believe you thought you were at my level.
-
Hey, that was a serious goal. Get sinking, trash.
-
The only reason you became positive is that you spent all your time camping. KYS, kid.
-
Cheap win. Totally waited for one.
-
You are afraid. Get out of my country – maybe they'll let you in when your parents are over 1 year old.
Not cool! Here, however, is a trashy speech that is acceptable:
-
To be destroyed. I can not believe you thought you were at my level.
-
It was a serious goal of the potato. To be broken.
-
The only reason you became positive is that you spent all your time camping. Try again, kid.
-
Cheap win. Come to me when you can actually drive without leaving cars out of the way.
-
It is zero. Make yourself well and come back when your k / s over 1.
Of course, do not hesitate to mix and match to create your own acceptable insults. "Get cheap, kid, although you're not at my level. Shipwreck. Easy.
You will notice that both types of insults are similar, only one uses elements such as [racial slur] and [sexual threat]while the other does not. Like the rest of the guidelines, it's a pretty easy tip to follow! It does not have to be spelled out literally, but it's 2019, and I suppose that's the case. Too bad for Microsoft to bother to save everything.
