Mike Perry hilariously surrenders to Beyonce by mistake

When a fighter chooses a walkout song, he or she chooses it for a reason. It’s the last thing they want to hear in order to mentally prepare for battle. Some might say it’s vitally important before entering a cage to get punched in the face.

Can you imagine what it might do to a fighter if a different song was played by mistake?

This apparently happened on Saturday night at UFC 255, where Mike Perry stepped out for… drum roll please… Beyonce’s “Halo”. Perry looked like he was surprised as hell, but he went with the flow and sang for perhaps the funniest moment at a UFC event this year.

Check this out (via Twitter):

We don’t know what Perry’s song was meant to be, and unfortunately for him, Beyonce’s lovely vocals didn’t help. Perry was stopped by Tim Means in their fight at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, losing a unanimous decision by scores of 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28.

If you feel like saying “Halo”, do it:
