Mike Remmers lined up on the right tackle in Week 12 when the Chiefs played the Buccaneers. He is expected to start on the left tackle in place of injured Eric Fisher in the Super Bowl.
This means that Remmers will see more of Jason Pierre-Paul this week.
Perhaps later, Pierre-Paul will know his name, which Pierre-Paul admitted on Monday that he “didn’t even know who it was” when asked about Remmers.
Remmers shrugged when interviewed on Tuesday.
“Yeah, someone sent it to me, and honestly, I don’t really care about their opinion on anything,” Remmers said. “It’s like every week I’ve played in this league, I’ve never walked into a game thinking, ‘Hey, I wonder what that guy thinks of me.’ I don’t care at all. It doesn’t make any difference to me. I’m just going there to do my job.
The Bucs faced Patrick Mahomes twice in Week 12, with Shaq Barrett and Pierre-Paul each receiving a sack.
