Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and wife Lauren are expecting first child

The cast of Jersey Shore has been on TV for so many years, you probably feel like you grew up with them. And no one has grown taller in public than Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. Case in point: he just announced that he and his wife Lauren Pesce are expecting their first baby in May of next year.

The fan-favorite couple made the announcement on Instagram this week, posing next to an unfolded cookie dough (which looks a lot like “Funfettis,” if you ask me …) with “Baby Sorrentino May 2021” written on it. It makes sense if you watch the show, as Mike is a bit obsessed with anything sweet. “We have a baby situation,” captioned Mike in his post. Lauren (better known as “Laurens” to true fans), captioned the same photos: “Our greatest blessing is on its way.”

Of course, their casting mates (AKA the future aunts and uncles of baby Sorrentino), were eager to send their congratulations!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the Sorrentino bb already has his own Instagram where he shared the same photos as his parents with the caption: “My parents announced me to the world today! I don’t know not why my first photo is in black and white … isn’t this the 21st century? Anyway, we guess what I am ?! My parents don’t yet know the secret but they will reveal it very soon to my mini (virtual)! “
