Former heavyweight champions Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. will each win a $ 1 million guarantee for Saturday’s pay-per-view exhibition game, the state of california athletic commission told ESPN.
Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs), who retired as a pro in 2005, could earn up to $ 10 million, according to a report by Kevin Iole of Yahoo. The 54-year-old slugger, who became the youngest heavyweight champion at age 20 in 1986, has publicly stated that he will donate any profits from his return to charity.
Jones (66-9, 47 KOs) could earn up to $ 3 million for the eight-round fight. Jones, 51, who won titles in four divisions including heavyweights, retired from active competition in 2018.

Jake Paul and Nate Robinson’s co-main event, however, will only net $ 600 each for their efforts. They’ll earn a lot more in PPV shares and endorsements, but each man is only guaranteed to earn $ 100 per spin to step into the ring on Saturday night.
The fight is the first in Tyson’s new “Legends Only League” PPV, which is expected to feature retired star athletes competing in all sports if successful.
