Mike Tyson almost went from a brawl in the ring to a brawl in the streets on Saturday night, according to a report.

TMZ Sports says the boxing icon was set to leave Staples Center after his fight against Roy Jones Jr., which was called a draw, when a man among a crowd of fans turned to Tyson.

As Tyson signed autographs, the unidentified man shouted at him why he wouldn’t fight him. Tyson reportedly joked with the man and said it probably wouldn’t end well for him.

It was then that the Rowdy threw a punch and allegedly searched his belt for what Tyson’s team feared was a weapon. His entourage, who reportedly recognized the man from a previous signing where he had started into trouble, immediately intervened and prompted the guy to take off.

Police told TMZ Sports they received a call about a possible battery involving Tyson at around 11 p.m. but no one was at the scene when they arrived and no report was made.
