Mike "The situation" Sorrentino is a free man. the Jersey Shore Family Vacation star was released from prison on September 12 after serving an eight-month jail term for tax evasion.
Sorrentino left FCI Otisville Thursday in northeastern New York shortly after 8 pm, and MTV cameras were present to document his release for the next season. Jersey Shore Vacation Family, Radar Online reported.
Now that he is out of prison, Sorrentino can find his wife, 10-month-old Lauren Sorrentino. And she is naturally pleased to see her husband out of prison.

Even though his separation with his wife has been difficult, Lauren seems to have a sense of humor. To celebrate her husband's release, she shared a photo of Martin Scorcese's film Goodfellas Karen Hill (Lorraine Bracco) leaning against a car while waiting for her husband, Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), to get out of jail.
Lauren subtitled the message with one word: "Mood".
This is not the first time the couple has referred to the Academy Award-winning film. In January, shortly before the situation was reported to the prison, he tweeted an image Liotta like Hill saying "Now, take me to prison" with the words "The return is always bigger than the reverse."
The Situation also celebrates his release on social media
Now that he's out of jail, The Situation is back on social media. He spent the morning retweeting messages of support and congratulations from the fans. He also tweeted his own post after his release, writing, "Let's get on free !!! #freesitch. "
"We are delighted to finally finish this chapter of our lives," the couple said in a statement to ET. "Thanks to our family, friends and fans for their continued love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort."
