Apart from the 2020s Four good days, Mila Kunis has taken a bit of time to star over the past few years, which makes Netflix even luckier to reunite with her for their upcoming film adaptation by writer Jessica Knoll. Luckiest girl in the world, according to Variety. Knoll’s novel, his first release, became a New York Times bestseller when released in 2015. The author will adapt the screenplay, as well as the executive production, with Mike Barker set to direct and Kunis’ Orchard Fam Productions to produce as well.

Luckiest girl in the world follows protagonist Ani Fanelli (Kunis), who from the outside seems to have it all: glamorous magazine work, perfect fiancé, fabulous New York apartment, in this case Mila Kunis. However, as is the case with most detective novels, Ani survived a series of unspoken tragedies in her past which, to overcome, she effectively transformed into a completely different person. It wasn’t until a real crime documentary probed “a devastating incident of her teenage years” as a prestigious Bradley School student is forced to reckon with the truth beneath her “meticulously crafted life.” All of this doesn’t make her particularly lucky at all, but then again, the “living” part is probably the most important part of this genre.
