Mila Kunis was not thrilled with her husband’s plan to fly into space.
In an interview released Thursday, Ashton Kutcher told the Cheddar News website that he bought a ticket for the next Virgin Galactic flight from billionaire Richard Branson and was ready to fly into space – until his wife, Kunis, dissuaded him.
“When I got married and had kids, my wife basically encouraged that it wasn’t a smart family decision to go to space when we have young kids, so I’m done. by reselling my ticket to Virgin Galactic, ”Kutcher said.
Kutcher became the 500th person to purchase a Virgin Galactic space flight ticket in March 2012, three years before he and Kunis married.
Branson, owner of the space travel company, and five of his employees rushed into space from New Mexico on Sunday. The nearly 71-year-old is the first person to take off in his own spaceship, beating fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos and his nine-day company Blue Origin, The Associated Press reported..
Branson and the other passengers reached an altitude of about 53 miles over the New Mexico desert, allowing them to see the curvature of the Earth and experience a few minutes of weightlessness before descending again.
Virgin Galactic plans to do another test flight before it starts flying paying customers, CNN reported. The company already has more than 600 potential space tourists with reservations, by AP. Tickets initially cost $ 250,000 each, but when the company reopens ticket sales soon, they will be more expensive.
“I was supposed to be on the next flight, but I won’t be on the next flight,” Kutcher told Cheddar.
Although Kunis ended her husband’s current dream (maybe because she saw this track on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”), Kutcher does not give up.
“At one point, I go to space,” he said.
