Not afraid of an alternative rock cover, Miley Cyrus recently performed a medley of her song “We Can’t Stop” and “Where Is My Mind?” From the Pixies. for the Chicago Lollapalooza.
Heading the first day of the event on Thursday (July 29), Cyrus opened his set with the 2013 single, before blending in perfectly with the 1988 Pixies classic. One fan managed to capture the medley in a video, which also shows the number of people gathered in the festival’s first iteration since the start of the pandemic.

In addition to the medley, Cyrus performed covers of ‘Heart Of Glass’ by Blondie,’ Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) ‘by Cher,’ Say Hello 2 Heaven ‘by Temple Of The Dog and’ Nothing Compares 2 U ‘by Sinéad O’Connor’.
She was also joined by Billy Idol for a performance of his track “White Wedding” and their collaborative track “Night Crawling” from Cyrus’ LP 2020 “Plastic Hearts”.
Idol wasn’t the only guest the pop star invited to the stage, with The Kid LAROI, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and G Herbo also making appearances. Cyrus also brought fans back in 2008 with his first live performance of “7 Things” in ten years.
In May, Lollapalooza confirmed reports that he would return in 2021 after canceling last year’s event due to COVID-19.
Foo Fighters and Post Malone were announced to headline alongside Cyrus, along with other artists including Megan Thee Stallion, Journey, Brockhampton, Limp Bizkit, Modest Mouse, Jack Harlow, Jimmy Eat World, Slowthai, Angels & Airwaves, Brittany Howard and more.
