Miley Cyrus has found a permanent way to commemorate her romantic vacation in Italy with Kaitlynn Carter.
The singer, 26, has added a new big tattoo of Brian Woo, better known as Dr. Woo. The artist posted on his Instagram account his complex and extremely detailed work, revealing that it was inspired by an "old cool sculpture" that Cyrus found in Italy.
The design is also one of the most popular images of Milan. The serpent devouring a human being is known as "biscione" or "vipera" and is the official family coat of arms of the Visconti family, one of the most powerful and noble dynasties of the Middle Ages. The "biscione" was adopted by the Inter Milan football team and the Alfa Romeo car company.
Woo's work is located on Miley's left forearm, below the place where her mother's birth name, Leticia Jean, is written in script. Other tattoos on the pop star include portraits of her dead pets and several pieces dedicated to her now-separated husband, Liam Hemsworth, including matching Vegemite pots to symbolize her native Australia, the skulls of Day of the Dead and a quote from Teddy Roosevelt, which starts on Cyrus' forearm and ends on Hemsworth's biceps.
Liam is not the only Hemsworth to be inked by Miley; she even has a matching wave tattoo with the wife of her brother-in-law Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky.
Although it seems that Carter, who was seen hugging Cyrus at their Lake Como hotel earlier this month, did not get tattooed to commemorate the trip or his nascent relationship with Cyrus, it seems that their love continues to be strong in Los Angeles. The new couple sent a bunch of marijuana to Carter's ex-member, Brody Jenner, on his birthday, and was spotted together at home.
Now that Hemsworth has officially filed for divorce from his wife for less than a year, it may be his turn to switch to the needle.
