Millie Bobby Brown’s team told TMZ they are “taking action” against TikToker Hunter “Echo” Ecimovic, who appeared to hint at rumors of a relationship between him and the “Stranger Things” star on Monday in a Controversial Instagram livestream.

Ecimovic’s show came after photos have leaked across social media showing Brown and Ecimovic kissing and kissing, which led to rumors the two were dating. Ecimovic, who has more than 1.6 million followers on TikTok under the handle @hunter_echoo and is known for his comedy sketches, appeared to respond to the rumors on Monday in Instagram’s now viral livestream.
Although the live broadcast is no longer available, many viewers recorded the event on screen and shared parts of it on social media platforms.

In the livestream, Ecimovic, 21, said he “groomed her”, appearing to allude to rumors he had had a relationship with Brown, who was 16 at the time in question, without mentioning the name of the British actress. “Grooming” is a term often used to describe situations in which adults build a trusting relationship with a child so that they can manipulate and abuse him sexually.
In California, where Newsweek reported that Ecimovic resides, the age of consent is 18.
During the stream, Ecimovic also made a series of comments alluding to sexual acts he said he committed with the girl. He added that he had lived in his house for eight months and that “his mum and dad knew everything.” He also said that anything he “did was absolutely legal” and that he “would never apologize”.
He appeared to become more hostile towards his viewers during the live broadcast as he began to notice antagonistic remarks from people in the comments section.
After the livestream, many condemned Ecimovic for his comments on social media.
Since the livestream, Ecimovic has deactivated his Instagram account.
Ecimovic apologizes for livestream in 2 minute TikTok
Responding to outcry from detractors, Ecimovic apologized on Tuesday for the live broadcast in a two-minute video on TikTok.
The livestream “should never have happened,” Ecimovic said, adding, “I was probably broadcasting live for about two to three hours, and over the course of those two to three hours, I got more and more drunk.”
He said he was irritated because viewers who “don’t know anything” attacked him in the comments section.
“I said things that should never have been said,” he added. “I’m not at all proud of the way I spoke.”
He also said people are “trying to make things 10 times worse” by making clips of parts of the livestream for social media.
“There are already stories that are either not correct at all or have never been told,” he said. “Everything is made. “
In the video responses, the TikToker backtracked on its statement regarding the grooming.
“I never looked after her. I never pressured her to love me? he said in a comment, which he pinned to the top of the page.
Critics flooded the comments section with posts mocking Ecimovic for being “another man who attributes his actions to alcohol.”
Ecimovic did not respond to a request for comment.
Brown’s team deny Ecimovic’s claims and consider taking action
At around the same time on Tuesday, Brown’s team told TMZ that Ecimovic’s remarks “are not only dishonest, but also irresponsible, offensive and hateful.” Representatives also told the publication they planned to take “steps to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all.”
The Los Angeles Police Department did not immediately respond to Insider’s request to comment on whether there had been any investigations or active cases against Ecimovic.
Brown, who was recently pictured holding the hand of musician Jon Bon Jovi’s 19-year-old son Jake Bongiovi, has not spoken about the incident.
Representatives for Brown did not respond to a request for comment.
