Milwaukee brewers remember Jay Jackson, Aaron Wilkerson; Ray Black option, Freddy Peralta

After using 10 throwers in the 15-14 win over the Washington Nationals, there was less talk of "if" the Milwaukee Brewers were attempting a shot for a new arm and more of "how much". respond this morning while the team recalled two shooters from Triple-A San Antonio:

Jay Jackson kicked off the final round of San Antonio's win 13-4, 5-4 last night, but he only threw nine shots and had not worked in a match since the previous 15. Jackson is the owner of an ERA 1.33 in 34 games and 40.2 innings for the Missions this season, his first affiliate ball campaign since 2015 after spending time abroad in Japan. He also averaged 5.79 in 14.0 innings in 10 appearances when he played with the league's big club in 2019. Jackson's last appearance for Milwaukee took place on Aug. 2 against the Cubs.

Aaron Wilkerson appeared for the last time on August 12 for the Missions, scoring three innings while allowing five points. However, he was a good beginner for San Antonio this year, posting an average of 3.59 points in 15 starts and 67.2 innings, with 71 punches against 22 goals scored. Wilkerson has played seven games with the Brewers this season, racking up 11.2 innings with a time of 6.17. His last outing for Milwaukee took place on August 4 against Chicago.

There was optimism about the role played by Freddy Peralta after his first career stop on July 24 against the Reds. However, Fastball Freddy dropped the points in six of his next eight outings, going up to 5.73 for the EER in 75.1 innings split between the rotation and the bullpen this year. He was charged four points yesterday against the Nationals without having managed to register an exit.

Ray Black also participated in yesterday's match, with a pair of points in 1.1 innings with 21 shots. The newly acquired lifter participated in two games during his first stint with Milwaukee before returning to Triple-A.
