Milwaukee shootings kill at least 3, injure more: report

Shootings in Milwaukee on Thursday night left at least three people dead and others injured, according to a report.

A shooting killed two men, aged 30 and 36, as well as a 19-year-old woman, Fox 6 reported, adding that a 19-year-old man remained in critical condition.

Police recovered three guns from the scene, the station also reported.

Early Friday, WISN reporter Derrick Rose posted on Twitter that a third victim had died, but it was not immediately clear which person had died.

Police found three weapons at the scene, but no information on possible suspects was available.

Earlier in the evening, four victims were found inside a house and a fifth later presented to hospital after being shot, WISN reported.

Shortly before 8 p.m., police investigating a property damage report suddenly heard gunshots nearby, the station reported. An officer quickly encountered a gunman and exchanged gunshots with the suspect before the suspect fled, according to the report.

Shortly after, response officers found four gunshot victims inside a house – two women, ages 18 and 25, and two men, ages 19 and 65, WISN reported. All four were taken to hospital, the severity of their injuries not immediately known.

A 20-year-old man arrived at the hospital about half an hour later after being shot, the station reported. He was believed to be linked to the incident, but it was not clear if he was the suspect who had fled, according to the station.

Because a police officer used his gun in the case, the case was under investigation by the Milwaukee area investigation team, under Wisconsin law, according to the report. .

Earlier today, police and some city officials called for more resources to tackle violent crime in the city, the station reported.
