Soon, you will not be able to download Minecraft: Mode History, even if you own it.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode were developed by Telltale and their removal from the list is part of the consequences of the bankruptcy of the company.
A message posted on the official Minecraft website indicates that the series will cease on June 25 and that, even if you have purchased and own one or the other game, you will not be able to download them again after June 25th.
Here is the brief statement provided in its entirety: "On behalf of the publisher, Minecraft: Story Mode – A series of Telltale games, Season 1 and 2 will no longer be supported on June 25, 2019. If you purchased these seasons, please download them all. the remaining episodes before the break in June. "
With many Telltale games already missing in Steam and GOG, this may not be a huge shock, but it's unfortunate. Although Telltale did not work on the best commented games, Minecraft: Story Mode had a lot of young fans.
It is unclear whether this will affect Minecraft: Story Mode on Netflix, which is interactive and covers the first five episodes of Season 1 (the PC, console and mobile versions have received three additional episodes as paid paid content). Season 2 has never done the service.
Minecraft: Story mode was widely available and can still be downloaded to PC, Mac, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android and iOS until June 25th.
