Nothing can stop the slow and relentless exploration of the Minion Empire.

The Babbling Jesters got three Despicable Me movies, a cartoon series, and a Minions-centric spinoff movie, and they’ll star in an upcoming offshoot sequel called Minions: The Rise of Gru. Their scope knows no bounds, and now they are available in Minecraft.

the Minions x The Illumination Minecraft add-on launched on Friday and you can buy it from the Minecraft Marketplace.

The DLC does more than just add blocky versions of the yellow one-eyed characters to Minecraft. It also allows you to help Gru fight villains like Vicious Six, El Macho, and Vector. This is apparently part of the preparation for Minions: The Rise of Gru, which hits theaters on July 1, 2022.

Mojang added skin packs and additional content for countless franchises – Mario, Star Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc. Considering how long it has been going, it’s about time we got some quality Minions content in the game.
