Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, were involved in a getaway crash in Georgia on their way back to Nashville.

The country star, 37, shared the scary news on her Instagram Friday. She accompanied the story with a series of images and videos from the trip, using the caption to explain what happened.

“You’ve all arrived in Nashville. A few days earlier than expected, ”she wrote. “On the way back, we stopped in Greensboro, GA to spend a few days off at Lake Oconee. I actually chose this place for one night because it was a perfect fit for our trip, but when we got there I didn’t want to leave. We stayed one more day because it was so beautiful. (And we ran out of clothes and had to do laundry) I also had to work, so why not get a view while you zoom in? “

The “Gunpowder & Lead” singer said they were looking for a place to dine and found a hotel ten minutes away for the KOA campsite.

“Unfortunately, on the way back through Atlanta, a hole in a small car with temperature plates drove erratically and tried to squeeze between us and a semi-truck traveling 70 on I-20 W” , Lambert explained. “He hit the draft on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We did the fishtail pretty well, but got down to the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage. No one was hurt, thank God. But no one stopped either and the car sped away.

She went on to add, “We are so grateful that nothing worse has happened. Our vehicle and trailer could be driven, so we made a report and headed home. “

Lambert believes that spiritually his mother was the divine intervention they needed that day. “I called mom right away to tell her that I know her prayers are still being heard because I know she prays for us every morning around 4:30 am,” she said, adding: “Mostly when we are on the road. “

She also praised her husband’s driving skills. “And @brendanjmcloughlin kept our trailer stable enough to be swept to the side,” she said. “Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we will soon be fixed and returned to our wandering ways. Anyway, overall it has been an amazing journey and we have learned that we have a lot to see and a lot reasons to be grateful. “

Lambert and McLoughlin are approaching their two-year wedding anniversary after getting married in February 2019. Last December, the couple sent out adorable Christmas cards which included a collage of Lambert alongside McLoughlin and their pets with the message, “Merry Christmas from the farm. “

In November 2020, her husband also wrote a sweet note for Lambert in honor of his 37th birthday. He shared a collection of photos of the country singer, writing in the caption, “I’d just love to wish my wonderful wife a happy birthday.”

“Not only am I grateful, but I’m so proud to be able to call you my wife,” he continued. “You are the most genuine and caring person I have ever met. The number of rescue dogs we have heard speaks volumes. You go above and beyond to make sure that those around you are always happy. “

“The list is endless of all the reasons I love you, but there is one that holds a special place,” he added. “This is how you stay true to who you are. No matter what obstacles life has thrown you, you have always stuck with your heart and that says more than you will ever know. I love you and I hope you have such a great birthday.
