The US Coast Guard said sunday the afternoon the crew aboard a motorboat tracked down 62-year-old Stuart Bee and took him aboard around 11 a.m.

Bee had left Cape Marina in Port Canaveral around 4 p.m. Friday on his 32-foot boat named Stingray, according to the Coast Guard. He was reported missing on Saturday by a member of the marina who said Bee usually does not spend the night on his boat, the Coast Guard said.

“Saving lives at sea is our highest calling. This is a truly incredible result that demonstrates the connection between all sailors and our community, ”said Captain Mark Vlaun, Jacksonville Sector Commander. “Thank you to our mission partners for taking action and to everyone who spread the word to find and save Mr. Bee.”

The Coast Guard said it sent a crew of C-130 Hercules to search for Bee and notified nearby sailors to watch its ship. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol also assisted in the search, the Coast Guard said.

There was no immediate information on Bee’s condition.
