Missing Calif. EMT found dead

WEAVERVILLE, Calif. – A missing EMT, Daniel Komins, was found dead in a wild and isolated area in the Trinity Alps.

The first responders began their search and rescue efforts after Komins' girlfriend reported her disappearance and did not return home on time, the North Coast Journal reported.

First responders from California's highway patrol helicopter spotted a backpack, tightening of research efforts near Mirror Lake in the Trinity Alps. A preliminary investigation suggests that he "could have fallen on steep and rocky terrain".
