PHOENIX, Oregon – A body found in an Oregon home two months ago was identified as being that of Dennis Day, long gone, one of the first members of the television series "The Mickey Mouse Club "of the 1950s, police said.
The remains of Day, 76, were found on April 4 at his home in the city of Phoenix, southern Oregon, but investigators were not confident enough to identify the corpse up to ## 147 ## 39th to Thursday, the Oregon state police announced.
Because of the condition of the body, the investigators could not use dental records or DNA to identify him. They decided Thursday that the human remains were those of Day by "investigation, evidence and other information," police said in a statement.
His death is the subject of an investigation, announced the state police.
The day was missing in mid-July by her husband, who is suffering from a loss of memory and who was at the hospital at the time, reported The Oregonian.
According to a missing person's poster on a Facebook site created to find Day, the husband had asked the police to call the police so that she could report Dennis' disappearance because he had not been to hospital for several weeks.

Day was one of the first cast members of "The Mickey Mouse Club," the 1950s television variety show aimed at kids. He appeared on the first two seasons of the show, according to a website dedicated to the program.
