Some parents in Missouri did not respond well to the news that their children will have to wear masks at school to keep themselves and others safe. According to KMBC, the Pleasant Hill Education Council’s Tuesday night vote to reinstate a mask warrant was immediately followed by a chaotic brawl in the parking lot. A man was reportedly taken in handcuffs after the parents started punching each other outside the building. The board of directors voted unanimously to reinstate the mask’s tenure after a spike in cases – KMBC reported that more than 7% of the district’s population is currently in quarantine after potentially being exposed to the coronavirus. KMBC reporter Brian Johnson said there was “a lot of screaming” during the meeting, which led to chaos outside.
