MIT's human robot takes the bottle challenge – TechCrunch

The MIT Computer and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) has a robot capable of reproducing the actions of a human simply by monitoring his biceps. This has a number of practical applications, including potentially helping a person to lift bulky or delicate objects, but it can also be applied to … more current activities.

The robot, which CSAIL calls RoboRaise, has managed to inspire his human friend and execute the Bottle Cap Challenge, which is what is happening now, where people (including tons of celebrities) are successfully trying or unsuccessfully demonstrate extreme control by throwing the threaded cap of a plastic bottle with a well placed kick.

RoboRaise can not mess around because it's an arm – but it's still an impressive demonstration of how his mimicry and his soft robotic appendage by hand allow him to spin the bottle cap without disturbing the bottle it -even. The robot itself seems quite satisfied with its own prowess, judging by the sufficient smile of his face.
