Popular Twitch streamer Mizkif explained why he wanted to move to Los Angeles and how Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys plays a big role there.
Mizkif is going through some major life changes in 2021. In September, the popular streamer announced his hiatus from Twitch, following his public breakup with longtime girlfriend Maya Higa.
On October 3, the popular variety streamer gave fans an update where he explained why he wanted to move to Los Angeles. The content creator revealed how the move to California would benefit his channel and explained how Pokimane could influence him to make the jump.

Mizkif reveals Los Angeles plans
In the update video, Mizkif opened the discussion by stating that he loves having other streamers on his live shows and has made it a major aspect of his channel. “I’m a streamer who likes to constantly have people streaming. It’s my favorite thing to do. There is a symbiotic relationship when it comes to being a content creator and coming to me, ”he said.
However, the Twitch personality then revealed that it was getting difficult to do while living in Texas. “But the problem is this. Trying to bring new people to my home is really hard because I’m in Texas. There isn’t enough network here for people to want to travel easily to Texas. There are 50 times more people to collaborate with in Los Angeles than in Austin.
Another reason the streamer listed for moving to California is OfflineTV star Pokimane. “I also want to move here for another reason – Poki. We’re doing a podcast and it’s working really well. And I really love doing the podcast. It’s very nice for me, and I know she likes it.
Despite all the positives, Mizkif explained that he was afraid of the decision. “I’m afraid to do it. I’m afraid you won’t like it. That’s a lot to think about, ”he said, before listing the biggest drawbacks of moving to LA. “It’s expensive. Too expensive. It’s just stupid, and I don’t have that kind of money.
The 26-year-old has said he is considering getting his organization, One True King, a California content house to buy. “I have an organization. I wish OTK could buy a house. People from Austin can come to LA whenever they want. Where we get a content home but I still have my home in Austin. That would be cool.”
Even though the Twitch streamer has given the move a lot of thought, he assured fans it “won’t happen” anytime soon. Although he thinks it is the right choice for his career, he clarified that he does not think that “it is the right time”. Still, it looks like there are big plans in the future for the variety streamer.
