This is the penultimate Friday of the 2019 MLB regular season, and 15 games are to be expected. There are many games with implications for the playoffs, with lots of teams still in the wild card races. In addition, the Dodgers, Yankees and Astros still struggle for the best baseball record and field advantage associated with them.

Braves win NL East

The spokes win on the march, follow the rhythm of Cleveland
By entering Friday night, Cleveland and the Rays were tied for second place in the AHL wild card. After Friday night, this will remain the case.
Cleveland beat the Phillies quite easily, beating Philadelphia by a score of 5-2. Shane Bieber launched 7 ½ innings, allowing two runs and seven assists. Oscar Mercado, meanwhile, has tackled two as part of a two-hit party.
The Rays, on the other hand, took 11 innings to beat the Red Sox by a score of 5-4. Here's Willy Adames delivering a hit single:
While there is only a little over a week left in the regular season, the Wild Card AL race seems to be entering in the last few days.
Cubs lose to cardinals, give ground to brewers
If the Cubs have to play in the playoffs, it will take a hellish final week.
After a 2-1 Friday afternoon loss to the Cardinals, Chicago was one and a half behind the Brewers for second place with a Wild Card. The Brewers, in turn, defeated the Pirates Friday night to extend that lead to two games. (The Nationals have won, staying ahead of the Brewers for the advantage of the field facing the game.)
The Cubs beat the Cardinals Friday by a margin of 9-4, but failed to make the most of their chances. Here are some examples that would have changed the complexion of the game if the Cubs had cashed their winnings:

In the third round, Kyle Schwarber was found in a double game ending the heat with the bases loaded and one on the outside.

In the fifth, Kris Bryant missed the first pitch that he saw after a brace by Nicholas Castellanos (more on him below).

In seventh, the Cubs had the first two batters in the singles range. Ian Happ and Ben Zobrist then lined up without advancing either. After a walk to Castellanos, Bryant flew to end the setting.
Each course, each team can harm its failures – especially in an individual match. The Cubs are simply elevated at the moment, as time is running out, as are their chances in the playoffs.

Castellanos is getting closer to a record of 60 doubles
The Cubs are in the middle of a tight race for the final place for the Wild Card NL. By entering Friday, they are a game behind the Brewers and the Nationals. During the second part of crucial four-game series this weekend against Division rivals, Cardinals and Cubs right defender Nicholas Castellanos slammed [another] double Ryan Helsley, right-handed Cardinals. This is the 57th double of Castellanos of the season:
The 57 doubles lead the league, and have also set some milestones. This is the 13th time in MLB history that a player reaches this total in one season.
Since 1950, only two players have recorded 57 doubles or more: Todd Helton (59, 2000) of the Rockies and Carlos Delgado (57, 2000) of the Blue Jays. Earl Webb holds the all-time record with 67 doubles, which he established in 1931.
Castellanos, 27, has had 19 doubles in just 45 games since coming to the Cubs. Prior to his Chicago trade in July, he was a member of the Detroit Tigers.
the Acquisition of delivery times of Cubs continues to approach a record 60 doubles, with 10 games to play in the regular season. It's a feat accomplished only six times in the MLB's history. The last time it happened? In 1936 Joe Medwick recorded 64 and Charlie Gehringer finished with 60.
