MLB’s Randy Arozarena under investigation for alleged violent incident in Mexico

Tampa Bay Rays Voltigeur, Randy Arozarena, is under MLB investigation following an alleged violent incident in Mexico involving the mother of her child and the woman’s father.

Arozarena, 25, was reportedly detained at the woman’s home, according to local media.

ESPN Jeff Passan reports that Arozarena “allegedly tried to take her daughter away from her mother and assaulted the woman’s father”.

Reports from Mexico indicate that Arozarena showed up at the house with gifts for his daughter – but things took a turn for the worse when he arrived and he allegedly tried to get the child out of the house without the mother’s permission.

Video has apparently surfaced showing a standoff between Arozarena and her neighbors – as Arozarena holds a child.

Mexican authorities have said they will release more information on the case in the coming days. In the meantime, the MLB has officially launched an investigation to gather information.
