President Shuntaro Furukawa briefly discussed Nintendo's mobile business during the recent financial results presentation. He explained how the overall recipes had increased and reconfirmed Dr. Mario World and Mario Kart Tower would both be published this summer and explained how the mobile applications of the Japanese company would continue to interest users:
"We continuously implement events and updates, and add new ways to satisfy consumers while optimizing the way we operate each application." The overall revenue from mobile activity has increased relative to the previous year, Mario World and Mario Kart Tour this summer, which means that we will be running six apps in total starting this summer. "
The Nintendo president then explained how each of the six mobile applications was based on different intellectual property and that "the objectives and features of the applications" were also different. In the future, the overall goal is to make Nintendo's intellectual property accessible to as many people as possible:
"In the future, we will leverage the ubiquity of mobile devices to increase the number of people with access to Nintendo IP through multiple applications like these."
