Minecraft Caves and Cliffs is Mojang’s most ambitious update. Developers and gamers were saddened to learn that the update was split into two parts.
Mojang launched Part 1 of the Caves and Cliffs Update and is now working on Part 2. Minecraft 1.17 update added lots of beautiful blocks and items as well as cute monsters. Even though the main features of the Global Generation have been delayed, the 1.17 update still got huge.
On the official Minecraft YouTube channel, Mojang offers a series called “Secrets of Minecraft”. In these videos, MARILLA and the Narrator humorously share hidden information about past Minecraft updates that gamers don’t know about.
Secrets About Minecraft 1.17 Caves and Cliffs Part 1
MARILLA and Narrator are back with a new episode of “Secrets of Minecraft”, and this time they’ve revealed some interesting information about Part 1 of the Caves and Cliffs update.
Update Aquatic was also a two-part update
MARILLA and the Narrator spoke about the Caves and Cliffs update split and how they did the same for Update Aquatic in Bedrock Edition. Like the Caves and Cliffs update, Update Aquatic has also been split into two parts, but only for Bedrock Edition.
Some Aquatic Update features were added in Part 1, while others were added later in Part 2. Initially it was supposed to be a main update, but the update was split into the Bedrock edition due to technical difficulties.
Inspiration for goat cries
Goats are one of the three mobs added in Minecraft 1.17 Caves and Cliffs Part 1. These mischievous mobs have a rare variety called Howling Goats. Only 2% of goats reproduce as howling goats. Since they look exactly like regular goats, it can be difficult to find screaming goats.
Players can identify a screaming goat by its hilarious cry. As mentioned by MARILLA, this howling voice is based on a popular video of a real howling goat. In Minecraft, some howling goat voices are taken from real goats, while a few are performed by a “hoo-man”.
Potential names for Caves and Cliffs update
MARILLA and Narrator also shared various names that the team came up with for the update. The Caves and Cliffs update could have been called A Very Miner Update, The Caves & Peaks Update, The Update That Rocked The World, etc.
