The 23-year-old mother, kidnapped from a nightclub in Boston, was found dead in the trunk of the suspect's car on Thursday night, according to a report.
Boston police on Thursday night arrested Louis Coleman III, 32, of Rhode Island, and said a body had been found.
The police did not immediately identify the body as Jassy Correia, but her family confirmed to WCVB that it was her own.
The mother of a 2-year-old girl was last seen early Sunday morning leaving a club where she was celebrating her birthday.
Police said she had been seen getting into a red sedan.
"She did not deserve that. She went out to celebrate her birthday and never went home, "Katia Depina, a cousin of Correia, told reporters. "We want justice done for his death."
