Police arrested an Illinois woman this week after allegedly driving her SUV while her children were sitting in an inflatable rooftop pool.

Jennifer Yeager, 49, was arrested in northern Illinois on Tuesday afternoon after the police announced that she had received a call from a "worried citizen" who was arrested. was complaining to a woman who drove with two girls, police said.

The agents found her and pulled her into her Audi Q5 around 3 pm. She told the police that she had placed the children in the pool to prevent her from flying away, according to a police statement.

"During the investigation, it was learned that Yeager had gone to town to inflate the pool at a friend's house and had her two young daughters climb inside the empty pool so to keep her on their way home, "the statement said.

She was arrested under two counts of endangering the health or life of a child and under two counts of reckless conduct. She was also cited for failing to pick up a passenger over 8 years old and under 16 years old.

Yeager was on bail last Wednesday.
