Reuters detailed information cited by several analysts and retailers about supply chain controls and shipments, as they boast considerable improvements in demand for new iPhone over last year. JD.com, a Chinese e-commerce site, indicates that iPhone 11 pre-orders have increased 480% over the previous year.
In terms of colors, the retailer indicates that midnight green is the most popular color for the iPhone 11 Pro. For the iPhone 11, black and purple appear at the top of the charts in China. Meanwhile, sales of iPhone 11 on Alibaba's online trading platform, Tmall, would have risen by 335% over last year's iPhone XR.
In addition, analysts Instinet, a division of Nomura Bank, claim that the demand for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro is "ahead of last year's launches." According to them, an increase in unit sales could offset a potential decrease in the average selling price:
