More Streaks – Dodgers Digest

The Dodgers had a rollercoaster season in 2019. They started 8-2, dropped six straight strokes and have now won three straight victories with a 6-1 win over the Reds tonight.

Things started fast for the Dodgers, who first hit Corey Seager, Enrique Hernandez and Alex Verdugo.

They continued in the second goal, miraculously as Rocky Gale managed a single (do not worry, he still managed to make four outs in four games today), then Joc Pederson bombed his eighth dong of the young season to succeed. 3-0.

The Dodgers followed with three straight singles of Corey Seager, Max Muncy and Enrique, to score another point and qualify 4-0 early. The attack then took a break for a while to finally resume in 7th place with an exchange of two outings. Muncy doubled, Enrique was intentionally strolled and Verdugo charged them with a two-point double to make it 6-1.

Of course, it was only the race that the Reds scored, thanks to the consecutive doubles of the third opponent of Tyler Mahle and Joey Votto on Kenta Maeda. But in 6.2 innings, that's all the damage he left behind. He took out five and reduced the Reds to three and four hits, giving 98 solid throws.

The scorers were also in the game tonight, starting with Scott Alexander finishing seventh by eliminating his only batter and ending with perfect scoreless innings of Joe Kelly (!!!) and Yimi Garcia (!!!).

The Dodgers are now 11-8 on the year, including 8-4 at home, and thanks to the new Padres defeat, they have returned to first place in the west of the NL.

Shoutout to Bob Nightengale!
11-8, 8-4 Home
