Boneless pork chop patties were recalled for approximately 86 tonnes as they could be contaminated with pieces of glass or hard plastic.

The pates, distributed by Ohio-based food manufacturer Bellisio Foods, are included in the Boston Market Home Style Meals, labeled as boned pork pate, with barbecue sauce and mashed potatoes. , according to a press release from the US Department of Agriculture.

On the label, frozen meals bear the "Best Buy" date of December 7, 2019 (lot code 8341); January 4, 2020 (lot code 9004), January 24, 2020 (lot code 9024) or February 15, 2020 (lot code 9046). Recallable meals also carry the inscription "EST 18297" on the flap of the box.

"There have been no confirmed reports of adverse effects or injuries resulting from the consumption of these products," said the USDA. "Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a health care provider."

Consumers who bought these frozen dishes are advised not to eat them. They must be either discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
