Morning report: Ben Askren tells Dillon Danis "desperate"

As a legitimately world-class grapple, Dillon Danis' transition to MMA would have been something that hardcore fans would have watched. Askren is a former Olympic wrestler who has had an outstanding career in amateur wrestling. He has won two national championship titles and has been awarded four times by the NCAA D-1 All-American All-American. He is one of four men to have twice won the Dan Hodge Trophy. He pursued a sensational career as an MMA, scoring 19-0 with a draw. Danis, for comparison, is almost strictly a competitive wrestler at this stage, having only made his MMA debut last April. This disparity and Danis' bold statement seemed to have had the desired effect on Askren, who had spent three hours mocking Danis on Twitter after hearing the comments.

In addition to attacking the absurdity of Danis' $ 1 million wager, Askren also took the time to make some videos showing Danis for his skirmishes, including the time he pretended ridiculously that he was a better version from Khabib.
