In 2021, it looks like the price of UFC pay-per-views isn’t the only thing that will change. Apparently, UFC President Dana White also has a new plan to tackle illegal hacking.
On January 23, the UFC kicks off its 2021 PPV campaign with UFC 257, featured by a slight rematch between former champion Conor McGregor and former interim champion Dustin Poirier. On Monday, White continued to promote the event by posting another new promo on his Instagram account.
Shortly after his post, a commentator responded, stating his intention to hack the PPV, which White promised “a surprise” to anyone looking to illegally watch the event.
The recent UFC announcement that they would raise the price of PPVs again, this time from $ 64.99 to $ 69.99, starting with UFC 257, has already met with some backlash. A number of commentators on Dana White’s post have voiced their dissatisfaction with the price hike and given that, it’s possible that more fans will turn to illegal streams instead of buying the event on ESPN +. Given that McGregor is MMA’s biggest star and the pay-per-view is expected to attract huge numbers, it makes sense that the UFC is looking to maximize its profits on the event by whatever means at its disposal.
UFC 257 takes place on January 23 on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

Teammates.
Hmmm.
Bellator with the content we all needed.
Kamaru Usman (17-1) vs. Gilbert Burns (19-3); UFC 258, February 13.
Curtis Blaydes (14-2) against Derrick lewis (24-7); UFC Fight Night, February 27.
Sergey Spivak (11-2) against Jared vanderaa (11-4); UFC Fight Night, February 27.
Johnny walker (18-5) vs. Jimmy Crute (12-1); UFC Fight Night, March 20.
So it looks like there is a good chance that Poirier-McGregor 2 is for the title. I guess Dana could finally give up on cuddling Khabib. I could never have seen it coming.
Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow.
