Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch finally gets a game sequence

Looks a bit better than the PAX demo

With less than a week to go up to Mortal Kombat 11 launch, it was very surprising that WB Games and NetherRealm Studios did not show any sequence of the Switch version. A demo was playable at PAX East this year and looked very impressive, but only people lucky enough to attend the event saw it (my mother being one of them). Was there a crazy problem that we did not know?

As it is, no. Mortal Kombat 11 it looks really impressive for a Switch title. Although this new trailer is basically a reel of context-free content, you can see slightly downgraded visuals and compressed FMV cutscenes, confirming its switch status. It's always identifiable MK11, just with less details. Everything works at 60 FPS and it does not interfere with the gameplay at all.

It may not be enough to sell people who are still skeptical, but I can promise you that the PAX East demo was not a coincidence. I have no idea what kind of black magic developer Shiver Entertainment (responsible for this port) who shot, but it's the real deal. If you wish, you do not have to worry about recovering the game on the Nintendo platform.

Mortal Kombat 11 for Switch will be launched alongside the other versions on April 23, 2019.
